Baseball First Week Info.

Baseball is a cut sport with tryouts beginning Monday, March 2nd and will run daily through Saturday, March 7th.  Prospects will try out with their peer group and potentially be moved throughout the week at the discretion of the coaching staff.  All prospects need to be dressed in baseball attire.  If they have purchased their practice T-Shirts, the color scheme will go as follows:

Monday-Purple

Tuesday-Black

Wednesday-Military

Thursday-Gray

Friday-Purple

Saturday-Military  

 

Prospects will practice indoors or outdoors, dependent on the weather, and need be dressed accordingly.  Molded cleats only on the turf for outdoor activities and tennis shoes or turf shoes for indoor activities should be worn.  Practice schedules, times, and locations are all subject to change due to weather conditions.  We will do everything possible to conduct all practices at Mike Shannon Baseball Stadium after school.  If weather becomes a significant factor during the week, there is potential to hold some of the practices inside before school. 

 

Freshman and Sophomores should plan on practices being run between 3:15 - 5:30 pm and varsity should plan on 3:15 - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday.  On Saturday, March 7th, Freshman should plan on practice at Mike Shannon Stadium from 8:30 - 11:00 am, Sophomores from 10:00 - 12:30 pm and varsity from 12:00 - 4:00 pm.
